HITACHI SEIKI Co., Ltd. was a Japanese machine tool manufacturer with a rich history dating back to 1928. Originally founded as Hitachi Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., the company began by producing lathes and milling machines. In 1937, it merged with Seiki Kogyo Co., Ltd. to form HITACHI SEIKI Co., Ltd., further expanding its product offerings.   Throughout the 20th century, HITACHI SEIKI played a significant role in the development of Japan’s machine tool industry, contributing innovative technologies and high-quality machines. The company gained international recognition for its precision machining solutions, serving industries such as automotive, aerospace, and general manufacturing.   HITACHI SEIKI was known for its commitment to research and development, continually introducing advanced machining technologies to enhance productivity and precision. However, due to changing market conditions, the company ceased operations in the early 2000s, and its machine tool division was acquired by Mori Seiki Co., Ltd. (now DMG MORI).
