We recently realised that the replacement spindle supplied was not identical to the customer spindle. The Franz Kessler SMS 180 / 60 kW main spindle (diameter 107 mm) had deviations, but they were in favour of our customer. The hollow clamping cylinder from SMW from 2005 also showed age-related defects that had to be rectified before installation.
Despite the lack of an exchange option on the part of the manufacturer and a repair period of just 14 days by a market competitor, we remained true to our promise. Within three working days of receiving the order, we delivered the overhauled Franz Kessler main spindle together with the refurbished SMW hollow clamp directly to our customer.
